WWW: You’ve got some good work on your blog including the film poster analysis. I like the way you’ve used question-and-answer to analyse each poster and have not just researched them on the internet. This will help your media analysis skills! You’ve also posted the most difficult piece of work so far – the practical mise-en-scene recreation. I like the points you make in your learner response and your summary of mise-en-scene. However, there is also some missing work here so we need to use this as a lesson in getting work fully complete.

EBI: Make sure you check the following and email me when everything is fully up-to-date:

Om addition, looking at your learner response it is also important to focus on written English. Think about how you organise your writing (sentences, spelling/grammar, paragraphs etc.) and make sure you are getting the basics right. This is particularly important in A Level exams as you don’t want the examiner to make a snap negative judgement about you based on your written English.

LR: Complete the missing/unfinished work and post it to your blog.

Reflect on your first month of Film & TV Language. What aspect of Film & TV language have you most enjoyed studying? What is your strongest piece of work so far? What is your weakest? What specific skills or knowledge do you need to develop before we start coursework at the end of Year 12?

I have enjoyed studying film and tv language as its amazing to find out the many meanings behind a poster, and I love analysing and predicting things based of the colour ,setting ,music of a scene or a poster. Before I start my next year coursework I want to be able to analyse posters and predict the story line behind by using the hints they give us.
